Trying to buy a snake

I love reptiles, especially snakes. They're just one of the most breathtaking animals in the face of the earth. I'm interested to own a snake or a couple of them. Personally, I like vipers the most, but they are hard to handle (and venomous). So, I'm considering to own a python. I'll try to avoid big ones such as retics and burmese. They'll grow so big, they can eat my dogs. I think I would like to own snakes such as:

Carpet Python

Blood python

And my favorite Ball python

Just love the patterns!!

When & Where should I buy these? I should buy them at August (I guess. I can't really remember when). Many said that this the best time for cheap price and complete species of snakes. I can buy them from kaskus cause it's easier rather than track some snake sellers outside my town.
